Searching for a problem

Google: Love it or hate it this website has permanently changed the internet. People are now able to search for anything they can imagine, and receive millions of results.

Are we addicted to Google? Has society grown too accustomed to receiving all of this information instantaneously?

Think about it, when was the last time you opened up a dictionary, thesaurus, or any other informational book? And I don't just mean finding a quote from a book to throw into your essay, I mean actually looking up some sort of information you need.

And is the instantaneous speed of Google affecting the other aspects of our life? Just take a look around and you can see how Americans are now more than ever craving that instantaneous gratification. Fast food enterprises are rapidly growing and home photo printers are selling better than ever because 1 hour photos are no longer fast enough.

So is Google bad? Depends how you look at it. The positive is that we now have more information available to us than ever before, the downside is that most of that webspace is filled up with Trolls and porn. I guess it depends if you're willing to take the good with the bad or not because there are truly many opportunities available now but you're going to have to sort through garbage to find it.
