I wish I could Dropkick Murphy

I was recently perusing the internet and I happened to come across this story. It's about this 'feud' going on between Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill.  Apparently Murphy got pissed at Kings of Leon for not letting them use their songs on the show and called the band a bunch of "self-centred assholes". Followill replied with a comment telling him to go see a therapist, and now Murphy is accusing him of being a homophobe.

Murphy, I hate to break it to you, but you're being a bitch. Just because you don't get to use the songs you want doesn't mean that the band are assholes. And you can't go crying homophobe when you threw the first punch. Be a big boy and go use another Lady Gaga or Brittany Spears song instead (which would be in your best interest anyway since those were the episodes that received the highest ratings).

So zip up your man suit, stop the name-calling, and go back to your producing your corporate filth.

Love,
Mallison

"Just go, I'll be fine!"

Do you think they all had to buy a ticket?

They're not working hard, they're working smart

I guess hiring people like this is how they can afford to sell their pizzas for $5

Thats one way to get around the car seat laws

Searching for a problem

Google: Love it or hate it this website has permanently changed the internet. People are now able to search for anything they can imagine, and receive millions of results.

Are we addicted to Google? Has society grown too accustomed to receiving all of this information instantaneously?

Think about it, when was the last time you opened up a dictionary, thesaurus, or any other informational book? And I don't just mean finding a quote from a book to throw into your essay, I mean actually looking up some sort of information you need.

And is the instantaneous speed of Google affecting the other aspects of our life? Just take a look around and you can see how Americans are now more than ever craving that instantaneous gratification. Fast food enterprises are rapidly growing and home photo printers are selling better than ever because 1 hour photos are no longer fast enough.

So is Google bad? Depends how you look at it. The positive is that we now have more information available to us than ever before, the downside is that most of that webspace is filled up with Trolls and porn. I guess it depends if you're willing to take the good with the bad or not because there are truly many opportunities available now but you're going to have to sort through garbage to find it.

Great job hollywood

Ahh the Golden Globes, the award show where every one that deserves an award will get it. Oh wait, maybe thats the Grammys. Scratch that, that show doesn't exist.

While this year has been better at nominating the correct motion pictures (Black Swan, Inception, The Social Network), they continue to praise the wrong shows as usual. Glee? Really? 5 nominations yet shows like The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy only have a single nomination? And shows of an even higher caliber such as Community are left off the list all together. Great job guys.

However, it is nice to finally see Katey Sagal finally getting some recognition for her role as Gemma in Sons of Anarchy this year, especially after she was not even nominated last year after doing an unbelievable job going through a rape scene and holding onto that the secret the entire length of the show.

And at least Modern Family and Dexter are getting the attention they deserve, the first easily being the funniest show to ever hit ABC and the second to be perhaps the only Showtime show to ever maintain such a mainstream audience.

And they said the television industry was dying...

So, this guy Fred First...

Has been an accomplished blogger for a few years now, starting back in 2002. What I have found most surprising about this blog is the fact that he really doesn't spend much time on his blog. He sits down most mornings and just browses the web, and if something should peruse his interest he'll take a few minutes to write about it. I thought that was really cool since when most people think of blogs they think of political bloggers who spend 8 hours a day blogging and surfing the net, but then here's a guy who gets 300 visitors a month and spends maybe 15 minutes writing a day.

What I liked most about his blog was the fact that he didn't have any particular formula that he had to stick to. Unlike in school where you have to have the standard intro, 2-3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion, he can simply write one paragraph if thats all he needs to say. He writes about everything and anything and he doesn't write just to please anyone, he just writes.
