Great job hollywood

Ahh the Golden Globes, the award show where every one that deserves an award will get it. Oh wait, maybe thats the Grammys. Scratch that, that show doesn't exist.

While this year has been better at nominating the correct motion pictures (Black Swan, Inception, The Social Network), they continue to praise the wrong shows as usual. Glee? Really? 5 nominations yet shows like The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy only have a single nomination? And shows of an even higher caliber such as Community are left off the list all together. Great job guys.

However, it is nice to finally see Katey Sagal finally getting some recognition for her role as Gemma in Sons of Anarchy this year, especially after she was not even nominated last year after doing an unbelievable job going through a rape scene and holding onto that the secret the entire length of the show.

And at least Modern Family and Dexter are getting the attention they deserve, the first easily being the funniest show to ever hit ABC and the second to be perhaps the only Showtime show to ever maintain such a mainstream audience.

And they said the television industry was dying...

Last night my daughter forced the family to watch the GGs. Social Network cleaned up, winning many of the major awards. Now, I REALLY have to get out and see the film.

Professor Macek, Social Network was a GREAT movie. I think it is one of those movies where I can watch over and over. However, I know for a lot of people it is very hit and miss. I think that it is quite ironic that it was nominated for several GG's, considering the fact now that social media is taking over many aspects of our lives, including MOVIES.
